About the Innkeepers
Jeff & Danielle DiDonato met in 2006 at DiDonato Funeral Home in Euclid, Ohio, when Danielle interviewed to be an Apprentice in the State of Ohio Funeral Directors license program. As fate would have it, they married in May of 2008. After selling the funeral home in 2009, they both decided it was time to seriously start looking for the property that would best suit Danielle’s long-time dream to own and operate a Bed & Breakfast.
What they thought wouldn’t be too hard of a task, took three years to find. Then, in early May of 2012, Jeff & Danielle finally found a charming 1950’s farmhouse sitting on nearly 17 acres of property in the heart of the Grand River Valley Region. Although the home needed renovations from top to bottom, they both immediately knew this was the home they had been in search of for three years. And so the renovating began…
Prior to Jeff and Danielle meeting and starting this adventure together, Danielle had the opportunity to work in the Service/Hospitality industry with Ferrante Winery & Restaurant for over twelve years. Danielle worked her way through high school and college and eventually earned a Bachelor’s of Business Administration in 2004 from Baldwin Wallace College. Proud to have gained so much experience working to serve people, she is ecstatic to know that all of her hard work has allowed her to be in business for herself and her family.
Jeff has worked in the Funeral Industry since he was 15 years old, working for several different funeral firms in different states over the years. Jeff earned a Bachelor’s of Biology degree from Kent State University and his Funeral Director and Embalming Degree in Cincinnati, Ohio. He is proud to be employed with Ducro Funeral Services in Ashtabula, Ohio. Considering that Jeff comes from a highly involved career in service, it is second nature for him to help Danielle to ensure that each guest at Bella Teresina Inn has a delightful experience.
Today, Jeff & Danielle share the passion to serve and make people feel comfortable and are excited to give their guests at Bella Teresina Inn a “restful retreat” experience as their guests discover all of the hidden secrets that the Grand River Valley Wine Region has to offer.
Looking into the future, Jeff & Danielle share the dream to one day own and operate a boutique winery shared with their B&B, where they can harvest the fruit from their own land to make wine. Stay tuned…
The Assistant Innkeepers
The Assistant Innkeepers at Bella Teresina are two resident Golden Retrievers named Marlee & GiGi DiDonato. Please be advised Marlee & GiGi do live on the property with the Innkeepers and stay downstairs in their residence, separate from the B&B.
We are aware and sensitive to the fact that many people have allergies (or simply do not prefer dogs). Therefore, we try our very best to ensure that the dogs do not travel near the living spaces inside of the B&B. They do however spend a lot of their time outside exploring the 17 acres. They are very friendly and we are confident you will wind up wanting to take them home with you!!!
Please make sure to alert the Innkeepers should you prefer to not be approached by the dogs when you are outside enjoying the property. If we know ahead of time, we will ensure that the dogs remain inside the majority of the time during your stay at the B&B.
Thank you and we hope you enjoy them as much as we do!
